The garments are designed to fit perfectly on the bike, we suggest assuming the bike position when you try them on.
Note: As Alé is an Italian brand we do find that most people size up one size from other local brands.

TIPS FOR PURCHASING THE RIGHT BIB SHORTS

These easy steps will help you to find the right shorts, which will become your faithful training and racing companion. Put the shorts on and adjust the bibs and leg bottom so as to eliminate any folds; the shorts must feel tight once on. Leave the shorts on for a few minutes, bending your legs and assuming the bike position, then pinch the fabric in the thigh area and make sure that once you release the fabric, the Lycra returns to its original position: this means that you are wearing the correct size. If you experience an unpleasant sensation of friction or restriction, or if the stitching and bibs are pulling, try a bigger size. Our chamois are designed to be worn without chamois cream. Chamois creams may damage and reduce the lifespan of your bibshorts. The lycra is designed to confer a massaging and light compression effect on the muscles. It can only perform this function if it is fitted correctly.

8HF Chamois

The Italian-made, handstiched, 8HF Chamois is constructed of elastic micro-fibre with high memory padding, strategically positioned in the contact points. In the perineal and ischiatic area, the 120 kg/cm² maximum density padding, is calibrated and breathable on all covered points, and ensures utmost protection against collisions and stresses from the road. The central relief channel was developed to protect the nerve endings for improved support, important on longer distances. The lateral shaped wings are flexible and follow the body movements while pedalling, adapting to the cyclist’s anatomy for the highest comfort.

Any online orders that need to be returned, will need to be sent back to our Moorabbin store.
